Reston East Planning Study
Reston East Planning Study
Fairfax County is considering land use changes for the Reston East Area and we want residents, workers and visitors to be informed and involved!
Below you can sign-up for email updates, submit comments and see the latest project updates for the Reston East Planning Study. Community meetings and engagement opportunities are expected to occur from summer 2026 to late 2026.
Several proposed land use changes are part of the Reston East Planning Study, as detailed on the project webpage. The study area encompasses approximately 119 acres and approximately 35 parcels within the eastern part of the Wiehle-Reston East Transit Station Area (TSA). The study includes a review of Comprehensive Plan guidance for the study area. Staff analysis and community input will be used to identify new Plan priorities and guidance for redevelopment opportunities.
