Proposed Road Diet for Annandale Road
Proposed Road Diet for Annandale Road
The Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) is proposing to reconfigure Annandale Road in the Mason District. The proposed road diet will repurpose two of the four lanes of vehicle traffic between Little River Turnpike and Gallows Road by adding a center turn lane and bike lanes. The benefits of road diets include safety improvements, traffic calming, and better mobility access for all road users. A meeting was held on Monday, Sept. 23, where FCDOT staff presented the proposed changes, provided additional information on road diets and answered questions. Feedback will be accepted through Oct. 11.
